About Me

I grew up in the Evansville area and I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in political science from Temple University Japan, which is an American university in Tokyo. I also spent a semester in Norway where I studied Scandinavian politics and Norwegian life and society. I currently work as a teacher. Money needs to stay out of politics, and I plan to run this campaign with no donations from corporations, super PACs, etc. I plan to work to reform the federal system to work better for all people, whether they are poorer, middle class, or rich. All people deserve empathy and compassion, and I want to treat people as I would want to be treated. I follow a utilitarian philosophy in my policies which means I will work towards the most amount of happiness for the most amount of people in the best way I can. Please read the positions and proposals on this website.

Rachel Covington for Congress

How can I win with almost no donations (and none outside of myself and family)? When I research who to vote for, I use the internet, and I hypothesize that this is how most people decide on who to vote for when they vote for a congressional representative. I set up and maintain this website myself, so this keeps costs very low. Spending a lot of money on political campaigns seems so unnecessary. Prove that campaigns without corporate or super PAC money can win by voting for me in the May 8th Republican primary. This cycle of too much money in politics needs to end, and it starts with us. I recommend early voting.
